Operating in the public transport sector, our client encountered the need to implement a system for the internal management of regulations. State bodies have in fact requested the maintenance of a detailed register, with which to keep track of the distribution and review of the relevant regulations by workers.

Given the limited resources available, we have designed with the customer a convenient and scalable solution over time to deal with the growing bureaucratic complexity of the sector.
So we started with SharePoint's already advanced document management capabilities and expanded them to create a simple, scalable and convenient system for internal regulatory management. This is a SharePoint archive integrated with:
In this way, users with access to the SharePoint archive have the ability to centralize the collection of relevant regulations, to organize them based on personalized information (for example, date of publication or author user) and to distribute them to colleagues of interest.
The difficulty of using SharePoint as a document repository concerned the recording of the viewing of the shared files. We have therefore inhibited direct access to files through SharePoint to allow the solution to update the information that confirms the view by the workers.
Useful here to specify that the viewing data is automatically saved in an SQL database, which guarantees efficient management of a large volume of information, without altering its structure.
Finally, we integrated the solution with a dynamic Power BI report, to simplify the analysis, presentation and consultation of archived data. This makes it easier to monitor the internal management of regulations and identify areas for improvement for greater compliance and business transparency.
